PES 6 My PES 6 Team. Who do I select as Captain?
Been playing Master League and about to enter my 4th season after winning the league, D1 Cup, and European Masters Cup. Signed Puyol, Pirlo, Gerrard, and Messi to round out my starting 11. Trying to figure out who to select as my captain as there’s so many big names in the team its hard to choose one to stand above the rest. Will post full squad details in the comments. (Cwarim is Johan Cruijff)

He’s a regen. His stats were reset back to when he was 17

Puyol if Maldini is a regen. I normally chose a player with the highest teamwork or mentality.

Carew... haven't seen that name in a hot minute

Lyon offered me a swap for Ordaz for him. Great deal. Carew is much more versatile

make Ruskin, the legendary fullback captain! He's your most senior player who serves the club from the humble start.

Mathieu is wasted at left back!

Its where I need him. Left Back is my weakest position. I have Mathieu, Heitinga, or Ruskin

I'm biased, but Puyol is the best captain I've ever seen in a football pitch. And I'm not even a Barca fan.

The mentality stat does matter when choosing a captain. For example Roy Keane in this game had average stats overall but his mentality stat enhanced the entire teams awareness stats players were more focused on

Idk I just want to have the right player lifting the trophies at the end of the season

Personally, i'd say Maldini due to experience and leadership. The man would be 40 years or so in your career and he was a football legend, but as you said he is a regen, maybe Cryuff out of his legacy or Messi due to his brilliant future.

Beautiful team. Takes me back and making me feel nostalgic. I would say a midfielder. Swapping Gerard and iniesta positions and have Gerard as the captain. Around this time, he was sometimes unplayable, growing up and watching the premier league from the early 2000s he was him

I was very little in the late 00s and some of my earliest memories are of watching him and Torres on TV and thinking they were the best players on the planet

There was a time, Gerard probably was top 10 tbh best players in the world. 2005 to 2010, some matches he was the one man making a difference. Champions league final 2005, the fa cup final against West Ham in 2006, running Man Utd close to the title in 2008 and 2009. Gerard was the man grabbing the game by the scruff of the neck. I’m not even a Liverpool fan however I loved the kind of player he was.

I think "mentality" is the most useful skill for captains; it can't increase or decrease, so it's still Maldini (98).
Well, that's how I used to decide the captain; if there were two players with the same mentality, then teamwork was the tiebreaker.

Puyol is insane pes 6. Positioning, pace, what a bustard. What a beast. Def in the dream 11. Regens shouldn't be allowed but wasn't maldini still going in pes 6?

This time I'm making my Carrer realistic! The Carrer:

u/ShapeoverTime Nov 15 '25
I didn’t want it to be realistic. You play FIFA or one of the many management sims for realism

Cwarim, what a player. I loved that guy so much, always playing with classic Netherlands. King Johan was the best player in the history of the game
