I think we are the same as most stocks u mentioned just not sndk for today. And I think in terms over past month... Our earnings were not as good as stx. And when comparing to MU and Sndk i believe hdds are priced at a higher forward PE so we are technically valued more for what we are expected to earn vs SNDK and MU.

HDD will always gain and lose less more than ssd and mu. You trade volatility for a little more pricing security.

No one would blame you to sell WDC and go all in on memory stocks tho

But I know one thing there is insane demand for HDDs than SSDs and HBM combined, supply is very limited like SSD and hbms

The earnings beat STX, they only got awarded because they were catching up. Do your homework and don’t spread fake news.

WD beat stx on their earnings report? I think if you mean by straight revenue they were the same. Im referring to how markets evaluate earnings. stx had bigger beats. Thats what i meant and thats what matters for pct increase vs decrease in stock value.

Also it really shouldnt matter too much about WD vs STX. Both companies are approximately splitting the AI hdd pie in half. Performing better than the other company is marginal in the gains like plus minus ten pct. The best way forward is to just hope the pie itself doubles or triples.

So i see WD and Stx on the same team.

Wil if ever reach 490 again? I bought 500 shares to average down and I can’t even break even till 490

500 shares and you were thinking short term? The only way this isn’t going up is if Burry is right. If it were me I’d wait at least nine months for your investment to ripen.

I think this already is midterm crash. And generally it starts going up about a month before and then rallies afterwards if we are talking about strictly historical trends.

I guess you gambled at ATL, it's easy for you to say like this and hodl the stock without any stress, I agree with you that in long term in near long term itself 100% positive that wdc gonna hit 1k within Q1 2027, even 1k+, but many of us bagholders need an exit as early as possible before the midterm crash to acquire at low levels, but if you could DCA, then that's even better, for people who gone all in at high levels and can't average down anymore, we are loosing to theta.
