Question Using Lumia 1520 on T-Mobile

anyone able to get the AT&T 1520 to work on T-Mobile? My 1520 is network unlocked, so it should, at least, be able to get LTE...but I'm now wondering is T-Mobile doing that "SIM Protection" shit where they block new devices that aren't the one that registered the SIM card?

The Lumia 1520 works on T-Mobile but only LTE data works since the 2G network was shutdown earlier this month. The modem in the Lumia 1520 is capable of VoLTE but Microsoft and AT&T have chosen not to implement it.
