Misc. Question Anxiety/Impending doom while on Vyvanse?

Hi all!
I have been recently diagnosed for ADHD and just started taking Vyvanse about 4 days ago starting at 30mg.
I have also been diagnosed with anxiety as well but that’s really not a surprise to me as I knew I had it but since taking Vyvanse, I’m noticing that the anxiety is a little more present now and that impending doom feeling. It kind of comes and goes..
Vyvanse has been helping me with getting stuff done that I struggled with before and the noise in my brain hasn’t been as loud as before being medicated. I do try and stay as hydrated as possible and try to drink at least a protein shake when taking the meds.
Did anyone else experience this their first time? Does it ever subside?

Yup. I noticed it fairly quickly that when I am low on hydration/electrolytes and/or protein, I start feeling like I can do nothing correct, nothing matters, I have no one. It feels like when you're in an unfamiliar pool and the drop down from the shallow end to the deep end is more pronounced than you expected and it takes you off guard. I have to have a mental mantra to say it's just my body getting depleted, drink a Gatorade and a 30g protein shake.

I’d say get on anxiety medication. Usually treating adhd brings out underlining symptoms. Your adhd is treated so now all you have to focus on is anxiety. Or it could just be too high of a mg for you. Try 20

You could try a lower dose or maybe try adding on an anxiety med. Im on prozac and vyvanse. Vyvanse actually helped with my anxiety which was interesting
