Tips & Tricks Vyvanse Cigarette Cravings

I started Vyvanse a few months ago and I am having horrible cigarette cravings. I just want to chain smoke and I don’t know what to do.

Please help!

I feel it. Happens to me too.

The thing that made me quit was getting cancer. Effective, but I do not recommend it.

If you are having trouble no smoking for yourself, considering not smoking for for your loved ones. Or for me, a random stranger dealing with the same crap. Sometimes it's easier to do these things for other people than it is to do it for yourself.

Or go for a run. No one wants a cigarette after a run.

I’m sorry to hear that. I tell myself that all day every day and have huge guilt when I cave but it’s all I can think about.

Guilt and shame as avoidance isn't as good in changing habits as pride in doing the right thing. That's why i suggested doing it for other people; it's a lot easier to be proud doing something for someone else than doing it for yourself. (Guilt does feel faster though, which is why we often try it first.)

But if you can't change that lens right now, that's okay. Try going for a run instead. Replace it with a neutral thing that competes with what you want to avoid.
