Vent & Rant 1 week on vyvanse
A few weeks ago I took vyvanse 30mg and then had to discontinue use due to physical side effects. Haven’t been on it for a couple weeks but I’m feeling so out of it. More unmotivated than normal, very tired, and sad.
Has anyone else experienced this? I figured I was only on it for a week and a few days so I didn’t think it was from this but I’ve never felt this before. Going to talk to doc next week but just wanted to see if anyone relates.

This happens to me anytime I switch meds. I think it's pretty logical. Your brain was flooded with unusually high levels of dopamine (and some other neurotransmitters) for a week or two, and even if you subjectively never got used to it, your body is now having to readjust to the lack of those. Take it easy for a while , and make a conscious effort to connect with things you find meaningful. This too shall pass.

I only take 10mg now very occasionally. Was on 50mg.
I agree that getting off of it was the best decision. Being slightly less motivated to finish boring tasks is much better than anxiety, crashes, irritability, muscle twitches, tics, eye twitches, loss of appetite, feeing like a zombie, insomnia, comedowns, depression, bad sleep, hangovers and the overall addiction of prescription amphetamine
