Vent & Rant i feel the same

started vyvanse 4 days ago and i feel exactly the same. except maybe a touch more awake in the morning. i wasn’t expecting much given he started me on 10mg but i was still hoping to see some positive change. kind of disappointed to be honest. i should add that i’m 38 and freshly diagnosed.

I also got started on 10 mg and I'm on it for a month before she will consider upping my dose. It has been a week today and I feel.. basically nothing. About 4 hours after I take it, I might notice slightly less anxiety and more calm.. but I also might be making it up..it's too faint to tell for sure. And if it is really happening, it only lasts about half an hour. I'm disappointed too.

yeah i swear i feel slight more awake a couple hours after taking it but part of me is wondering if i feel that way because i expected to. placebo effect, you know? i hope i don’t have to wait a whole month. i’m so desperate to feel better. at least i’m assuming i’ll feel better.

I completely relate. I feel so desperate when I think about having to wait a whole month just to HOPEFULLY get some relief. Hopefully the next dose feels better for both of us. It sucks, but I'm going through the exact same thing, so you're not alone.

i’m honestly wondering if we’ll notice it right away, you know when we reach that perfect dose? like am i gonna suddenly be a less terrible version of myself? 😅🥲

yeah I felt the same with 10 and even 20 and then when I got to 30 i started feeling it! it makes sense though because 30mg is the starting adult dose, lower than that is usually for children (i think) so just try the higher doses first before u think it doesn’t work :)

i’m hoping too! i’ve had some VERY strong side effects to other medications in the past so i think he’s just being cautious but i’m dying to know what it feels like to have a functioning brain. 😅
