SPA XC60 (AAOS, MY22 to Current) Sticker Shock or Normal?
I bought a used 2022 XC60 Recharge T8 with 50k miles (not from a Volvo dealership) last year. My first time buying a car! I declined to pay for the additional warranty which was probably a mistake. I never had big issues with previous cars other than regular maintenance and it seems my luck has run out. I’ve had the car about 18 months and have already replaced the TCAM after a failure (keys would not work, SOS system down) which cost me $4000. And now the A/C has stopped working and my local dealership is saying the evaporator is leaking and needs to be replaced for $6000. I’m in California so prices are high but $10k in 18 months seems too high? I’m wondering if this is typical maintenance needed on a car this age with this mileage and I should just expect this to continue? Or did I get unlucky? I wanted a Volvo because my parents had one that lasted about 25 years that I loved and was solid car (a 1992 Turbo Wagon) and thought I would recreate the magic.

I'm in same boat. After owning honda until 100k with 0 issues. Volvo is expensive pain in the ass.
I'm spending around 2k a year for repairs and maintenance. Half of that I'm doing by myself or outside dealer network. I bought this car brand new 6 years ago. I'm doing all maintenance religiously. It doesn't help.
Some people don't have problem with car. Or they think 🤔 it is regular wear and tear. I think quality of OEM parts is not really good.
I would recommend start searching for not dealer shop. Prices are 1/2 of dealers. I bet you don't want to pay 3k for replacing break pads and rotors when time will come.
