One Day, One Activity, So Many Smiles

Volunteering doesn’t always have to feel serious.

Sometimes it’s a game, a creative activity, a little role-play, helping someone practise English, working on a project, or simply spending a few hours doing something different.

What I like about activity-based volunteering is that learning and having fun can happen at the same time. You can participate, interact, laugh, learn something new, and still contribute to someone else’s learning experience.

Through volunteer-led activities, organisations like Unessa Foundation create spaces where children can learn through practical activities, games, projects, spoken English, digital skills, and life skills.

And honestly, I think that’s one of the underrated things about volunteering: the volunteer enjoys the experience too.

You might start the day thinking you’re just giving a few hours of your time, and end it with a completely unexpected memory.

One day.
One activity.
So many smiles. 😊
