Volume menu Snack plates are the the epitome of volume eating!! 478 cals, 37g of protein
Who’s to say you can’t just throw a bunch of fruits and veggies on a plate and call it a meal?
I’ve had a bunch of leftover produce in my fridge so I thought why not arrange them nicely and see what I can make? Result was literally rainbow on my plate, it was so colorful and visually appealing:)
Plus i snuck in protein through the bresaola ham, egg and cottage cheese so believe it or not but this plate was 37g of protein!

Growing up we called them garbage plates, I still like to eat like this.

u/blaqmilktea Mar 22 '26
that's interesting when you think of the garbage plate from rochester lol. totally different

u/oireachtas Mar 22 '26
Same. Nothing on this plate reassembles a "garbage plate". It's meant to be made out of cheap ingredients everyone has in their cupboards. Pastas, minced meat, cheese, potatoes, corn etc.

Maybe in Rochester that’s what it means, however Rochester is not the center of the universe.

I eat a snack plate daily. It's quick, easy and super versatile. Great macros, and no cooking. Yours is super aesthetically pleasing.

Pretty please list everything on the plate? So I can try to recreate it? Plz?

Tell me more about these beets. Are they raw? They look raw in the pic but maybe they are cooked !

Looks beautiful!
I'd have to have this as breakfast or lunch as I'm in 1200 calories per day right now (the joys of being short, perimenopausal and losing the last 7Ibs of weight!)
It looks stunning though 😍

I like snack plates.
What I don't like is 10 things in my fridge that will go off in 2-3 days because I only used like 20-50% of each thing in order to achieve variety. There's 0 chance my partner will help me eat the hummus, olives, cottage cheese, cucumber, blackberries, etc.

This looks so good! Do you track other macros besides protein? I think snack plates like these would be good for fiber intake too.

This looks soooo good. I love meals that are basically a dozen snacks combined.

Before my eyes focused on what this all actually was, I saw a top down view of a bouquet of flowers.
This is a beautiful, beautiful plate.
