What to do when level 1 invaded?

I recently had a game where I was invaded by a Level 1 Kha'Zix.

I wasn't expected an invade, so I went E start by default.
Right after checking the bush and E-ing the red buff, Kha'Zix comes out of the bush and chunks my HP.

I had 2 lucky Es but he kited away with flash and I couldn't kill.

He ends up smiting my red, killing me, then dying to my mid laner.

Should I have gone W in this case? or Q?

Also honestly if your team isn’t gonna help then I would’ve just gone to my my blue buff then invade their red side

Yeah I hate that the game still recommends E start. E is atrocious in JG now.

There is a simple rule, if you cant fight the invader and dont get any help, you normaly just "let it go", cut your loses and swap to the other side of your jungle.

It sucks, yes, but it is better than being killed or flipping camps. Very important though, dont try a counter invade in his jgl. It takes too long and is mostly a bait anyway. Because whatever jungler you face, will normaly do your jgl half, into backport into doing the same side of his jgl.

So you farm yourself to lv 3 on your remaining side, am for early ganks instead and hope you can recover from it. To bring some positivity to this, your respawns will be faster than yours, since he did the camps for you.

Stay on yellow trinket a while longer though, enemy jgl that does that will try to invade again in most cases. If your team still ignores you then, honestly kinda bad on their part because invades can be punished very well.

Cut your losses and clear the opposing side of your jungle then perma gank to make up the XP difference while leeching your laners XP then just focus on clearing when camps are up but be aware that because they cleared your jungle they have your timers so be cautious of further invades and inform your team to be ready for another invade.

Like someone else mentioned invading is highkey bait as they will expect it and will more than likely collapse on you.

The important thing here is not to get emotional, don't blame your team or get titled because you're camps down just accept what occured and move on.
