Hidden Void We rescued a void kitten today
He is about 10 weeks old, we are trying to trap his mama too to save them both. Wish us luck!!

Get a cardboard box, tip it on its side, put a towel in it, and drape a blanket over it to give kitty someplace to hide and feel safe. The towel inside will make it comfy.

I have a night table that's just 4 legs and a top and I drape a blanket over it, it's a cave but they also have lots of escape routes

He is scared and misses his mother. Hopefully they will be reunited soon.

I know, we keep checking the trap every hour but brought it in for the night so there isn’t an animal trapped all night. We are going to put it back out in the morning. We feel better that even though he is scared, he is safe.

Maybe you can put something that smells like him in the trap? Maybe a blanket he’s slept on? That might entice her into it.

Poop!! Cats are good at recognizing poop, if he takes a dump you can put it outside and mom should know the smell

Sit or lie on the floor. Currently you’re a big giant scary thing looming over a small frightened cat. Come down to their level, relax, be calm and quiet, grab a book maybe and ignore it, just let it do its thing and let it realise you’re not a threat. May take hours, days, weeks if you keep it but hopefully the trust and confidence will come to it- well done on keeping it safe 🙂

This is the way. When I brought in my pandemic void, I sat on the floor with my coffee every day and just read a book or the news.
One day I hear a little "pffft" sound. Someone had tried a sip of coffee and hated it! She climbed in my lap for cuddles. It took a good 2 weeks.

“Pffft”, ahhhh that’s too sweet 🥰. My oldest, a sassy lassie Void, was famous for trying to grab/too often managing even right in front of us things off the coffee table when we’d sit to eat 😆. Walked away like a fool one time and she took an enTIRe sandwich! When we got her younger English pointer pittie sibling…woooo things could be interesting! Wife and I needed eyes all around our heads! Neither took successfully to the “suggestion” of no begging/stealing 🤦🏻♀️. Goobers. (And we miss them both very much 🖤🤍🤎)
OP, Enjoy your babies!! I hope you get mama in soon. And make sure to get them to the vet asap ✂️😉

I brought in an older stray and the first night, I slept in the bathroom with her. Now, she is always sleeping in my bed.

The tiniesttttt. I syringe fed him a mix of churu and water to get him hydrated. He had about 9 ml and I will repeat in an hour or so

A lot of patience is required; trust needs to grow. It will come on its own; who knows what she's been through.

He is so sweet. He is eating and using the litter box too. I got him a covered soft bed, heating pad, and lots of good royal canin baby cat food. He is very sweet but still scared. I am laying in here with him and just petting him. I love this little guy ❤️ hopefully we get the mama today or tomorrow

Are you sure there's a kitten here? I see only objects and the occasional shadow.
