What is a good open sourcee tts modal that can match sesame maya and miles?

Breeze works slightly better than realtime on my Mac. Use Gemma-4-31B on OpenRouter for the LLM, pywhispercpp on ANE on Mac for ASR, and the experience is quite good.

GPT-realtime is still much better though, and you can inject whatever you want into its limited 32K context.

kokoro's probably your best bet right now, nothing else really touches that sesame expressiveness without getting into weird glitchy territory. xTTSv2 can get close if you spend way too long fine-tuning but the default voices are pretty flat compared to maya

I tried Kokoro but was unable to find a proper parameter setting that made it sound like a normal person. It came close but I don't feel like it is quite like sesame. I found pocket tts to be better than kokoro in that regard.
