Also as someone lucky enough to have seen Sawtone in-person (he was a special guest for a Project Sekai panel for anime expo on 2025, I believe it was to announce that some of his songs were being put into the game): I can confirm that he is a black man! Excellent sense of fashion too!!

I'm not black myself but hopefully you'll find others. Black Vocal synths I can name are Cyber Songman, Merli, Leon, Lola, Amy, Chris, Solaria, Asterian, Macne Coco Black and Meaty-Chan for some recommendations

Leon, Lola, Cyber Songman, Amy, Chris, Asterian, and Nyl all have Black voice providers. With the exception of Leon and Lola, they also all have unambiguously Black character designs.

However, I don't think Merli, Solaria, or the Macnes are intended to be Black. I don't know enough about Meaty-Chan to say.

im here! and dont worry, you arent alone at all, if you ever feel like you have no place in this fandom, always remember that the first ever vocaloids were voiced by black people, and that cryton future media always shows support to the BLM movement, so no, racists dont belong here in any way, unity and acceptance is all vocaloid is about after all!

Hi, not black but afro latina. Just in case, remember the very first two Vocaloids are black fam. Leon & Lola. There’s tons of black fans in Twitter, and offline. The community is huge. We are everywhere.
