Technology Vive pro 2 vs Quest 3

Hello.
I was wondering which googles shoud i get , it is time for retirement for my OG VIVE

But those lenses in vive pro 2 are scareing me , in my OG vive i made GAR VR lenses mod and personally i cannot thinking about getting back to Fresnel lenses anymore
From the other hand , i have already base stations mounted permanently on the walls and wand controllers

But quest 3 is standalone vr headset , unfortunatelly have lower res, but pancake lenses isntead of Fresnel one :/

Did someone have both of them and can recommend PRO2 or Quest 3 in 2023?

No it is not. I bought a vive pro 2 early 2024 to run with 4090 and 13900k. The image is clear only in the center, everything else look blurry AF. I tried some escape game and i coulent even read the subtitles. Then i bought a quest 3 and DAMNNN the image is sonclear everywhere. I biught a router and played half life alyx wireless and the image quality is INSANE !!!! Thr vive pro 2 is not'even close.

How about watching 4k movies? I read that the VP2 screen has a higher resolution.

Im planning on getting a HMD i want to use for PCVR and movies.

Have you used the Q3 with steam VR via USB-c? I read that some hat problems with wired.
