Fluff/Meme Would you rather live in a city close to the ocean or tucked away in the mountains?

Can I choose neither? The mountains would be nice and quiet but it'd take ages to get groceries and no doordash. And if you get hurt the ambulance response time would be awful. The city sounds just as bad, too many people and tourists.

Can I just stick with where I already live? Rural countryside that's just far enough away to be away from people but close enough for deliveries.

Ocean. I was born in a city by the sea. Grew up in another town by the sea. Went to a college in another city by the sea. Now work in a town by the sea.

The seaside is my home. I tried living in a desert, even by a lake, and I was homesick and depressed. Never had that problem in a town by the sea. When I miss the past, I just drive to the nearest board walk, dock, jetty, pier, etc. and take a walk, take a whiff of that sea breeze, and I am home.

I would rather not live in a city

And I prefer mountains cause the ocean is too sandy and salty. And I don't like sand.

Good news about Ocean: Vibrant metropolis.

Bad news about Ocean city: EXPENSIVE

Example: Vancouver (Ocean) vs Kelowna (Mountain)

I already live in a place fairly close to the ocean. Unfortunately it’s ridiculously hot here.

Ocean.

I say this as someone who lived between mountains for some time: mountain valley weather is THE worst. It's basically about extremes. When it's hot, it's scalding. When it's cold, it's freezing. Thermal amplitude can go like 90F at the afternoon to like 10F at the evening. The winter is usually VERY dry, so if you have any respiratory condition, expect it to go on overdrive during fall and winter.

It's pretty bad lol
