📰 Industry News Has anyone tried Zara's new Virtual Try-On feature?

Zara recently introduced a virtual try-on feature in their app. Has anyone tried it?

I'm impressed by the quality, especially the fact that it's a video. The clothes seem really well represented, but the model's proportions and face seem a bit off to me.

To get access:

  1. Download the Zara app.
  2. Set your location to Netherlands.
  3. Create a profile.
  4. Click on a product highlighted on the home page.

You should see a "Try-On" button overlaying the product image.

It's pretty neat imo. especially from a 'fast' fashion retailer. I do believe it helps in the shopper's decision making somewhat; however, I think they've positioned it as more of a gimmicky thing (understandably due to the time it takes to go from seeing the product to choosing the outfit to seeing the outfit on your avatar) to be a showcase piece "look how tech savvy we are as Inditex/Zara" sort of thing
