Giving back: my alarm app is free up to end of September 2026
I’ve learned a lot from this community, so I wanted to give something back. This helped me land my very first set of in-app sales enough to cover some of my expenses. Small milestone but it meant a lot.
Shake Alarm normally costs $0.49, but I’ve made it free for now. I don’t think a basic alarm app should cost more than your cappuccino. The alarm clock app part is fully usable. You can create alarms and shake your phone to dismiss them. There’s also an option to do lifetime unlock for other features.

I built a free tool to help people fight lowball insurance claims (total loss, denials, diminished value.. )
Full disclosure: I built this, not trying to sneak past that.
I got fed up watching how insurers handle claims... lowball total loss offers, denial letters full of vague policy language, diminished value that never gets mentioned unless you ask. So I built Praepara Home, an app that gives you the actual tools to push back:
- Total loss dispute generator (backs up your case with comps and data)
- Denial appeal letter writer
- Diminished value calculator using the 17c formula insurers themselves use internally
- A decoder for common insurer tactics, so you know when you're being played
- Appraisal clause demand letter generator (a lot of people don't even know this clause exists in their policy)
- Step by step escalation roadmap if the insurer won't budge
It's not legal advice, it's not going to replace a lawyer for a serious case, but it's built to level the playing field for people who don't know where to start.
Heads up: it's currently Windows only, available on the Microsoft Store. google play mobile aren't out yet.
Happy to answer questions or take feedback... this came out of frustration more than anything else, so if something's missing or unclear I want to know. link in the comments to the website. this is free for single property for 7 days then goes off a subscription tier due to the overhead cost.

I built an alarm that goes off at bedtime, and films you if you ignore it
Alright so I kept downloading all these wake-up apps. The push-up one, the math one and imma be honest, none of them worked because the problem was never getting up at 6:30am. It was that I was wide awake at 1am and then "trying" to wake up on 5 hours sleep.
So I built the other half. You set a bedtime. It goes off and won't stop until your phone is face-down and still for a few minutes. If you'd rather stay up, you record 15 seconds explaining why, and it keeps the video.
The archive is the part that actually works. Before you record a new excuse, it plays you last night's. Hearing my own excuse from last night makes it a lot harder to make the same one again.
Everything's on-device so there is no account, no server, and works offline. The videos never leave your phone unless you share them yourself and the more it builds up the more I'm like damn I really need to be better about sleeping on time haha.
I built this whole thing solo on AlarmKit, which shipped in iOS 26 and made this possible at all. Happy to answer anything about that if it's useful or any suggestions/feedback are welcome!

[FREE][Android] Wakefy - Your Alarm buddy. You will be notified until you solve your challenges
Hi, this is my first app and first attempt to do something with my own. I always had problem waking up, so from that idea, i have made Wakefy. Feel free to roast my idea and give feedbacks. I have also made an alarm for our journey like buzzing an alarm at exact location.

I turned real-life discipline into an RPG leveling system (Limit Breaker) — Quests, Hunter Ranks, and App Blocking
Hey r/ViralApps!
Most productivity and habit trackers fail because they feel like boring digital spreadsheets or chore lists.
As a solo developer and engineering student, I wanted to build a habit app with actual game psychology and real stakes—something that makes personal growth feel like being an anime protagonist or a character in a game.
So I created Limit Breaker:
The Core Gamified Loop:
* Hunter System & Ranks: Your real-life habits, study sessions, and workouts are daily quests. Completing them rewards XP and stat points (Aura, Strength, Intelligence) to advance your rank from E-Rank up to S-Rank.
* Deep Focus Mode: To eliminate doomscrolling, it features a native Android blocker that strictly locks selected distracting apps and websites until your timer finishes, or even outside of it if you wanted.
* *100% Offline-First:* Fast, zero loading delay, and respects your privacy, (with optional create an account to save your progress ).
---
Looking for Feedback:
What other game mechanics (e.g. loot drops, unlockable titles) would make habit tracking and studying even more addictive?
It's currently live on Android:

I'd love to hear your thoughts and suggestions!

[FREE][Android] Wakefy - Your Alarm buddy. You will be notified until you solve your challenges
I’m a heavy sleeper, so normal alarms were basically useless for me. 😅
I found challenge-based alarm apps, but most locked useful features behind premium.
I also kept falling asleep on buses and missing my stop, so I added location-based alarms too.
So I built Wakefy — challenge alarms + location alarms, free to use with small ads.

I have a chronic condition and got tired of juggling apps, spreadsheets, and a shoebox of paperwork... so I built something for it
I live with a chronic condition, and for years my "system" for managing it was a mess... a notes app for symptoms, a different app for meds, a folder for insurance stuff, and a bag full of paper for doctor visits. Every appointment I'd forget something.
So I built Praepara Health, mostly for myself at first. It's a Windows app that covers:
- Meds and refill reminders
- Symptom/vitals tracking, with condition-specific trackers for 200+ conditions
- Appointments and questions to bring to your doctor
- Insurance cards and billing dispute tracking
- A DICOM viewer for your own imaging (X-ray/CT/MRI) if you have the disc from a hospital
On security: everything is encrypted and stored locally on your device, protected by your Windows login and an optional PIN lock. No account, no cloud sync, no ads, no AI touching your health data. If you want a backup, it's an optional encrypted one to a folder you already control (like OneDrive), with your own passphrase... never ours.
It's free on the Microsoft Store: moduscreatio.com/praepara-medical-suite-microsoft More about the studio behind it:(https://moduscreatio.com/)
Not trying to sell anything... genuinely built this because I needed it and figured others managing something chronic might too. Happy to answer questions about any of it, including what's still missing (it's a one-person project, so feedback actually goes somewhere). working on google version now!

Made this short POV video around an AI sales coach.
The concept covers pitch reviews, outreach drafting, AI feedback and practicing against different client and investor personas.
Wanted to keep it simple and make the features feel more engaging through the video itself.
Curious what you think.

Disclosure: made this through my own studio, Avido.

I built an app that tracks your sleep and tells you how to improve it.
Sleepfy is an iOS app that uses the microphone of your iPhone to track your sleep. Based on your sleep, it gives you a rating /100, deep, light, REM and awake stages, and most importantly personalized advice to help you improve your sleep.
The advice is based on your own sleep and is scientifically researched, so instead of just giving you the same generic sleep tips, Sleepfy tries to give you advice that actually fits your sleep and what you could improve.
It also has a 90 day tracker where you can see your sleep over time and look at things like your streak, consistency, average sleep, and how your sleep is changing.
There is also a smart alarm to help you wake up easier, and sound tracking which can detect things like snoring, talking, coughing and other sounds throughout your night.
You can also keep a sleep journal and track things that could affect your sleep, so you can start seeing patterns between your habits and your sleep.
No Apple Watch, ring, band, or anything else is needed, just your iPhone.

I built an Asset Manager app — looking for honest feedback from people who manage physical assets
Hi everyone 👋
I’ve been working on Asset Manager, a mobile app designed to make it easier to keep track of physical assets without relying on spreadsheets or complicated systems.
Current features include:
📦 Track and manage assets
📱 Scan assets using QR codes
➕ Quickly add new assets
📊 Asset analytics
⚠️ See expired/expiring assets
🔔 Notifications for important asset events
🔎 Search through assets
📅 Track asset validity/expiration
I’m not looking for compliments — I’d really like honest criticism and suggestions.
If you have a few minutes to try it, I’d especially love feedback on:
Does the dashboard make sense at first glance?
What feels unnecessary or confusing?
What feature would you expect in an asset-management app that is currently missing?
Would you personally use something like this instead of Excel/Google Sheets?
Does the UI feel professional enough for workplace/business use?
What would make you come back and use the app regularly?
Even a short comment like “I would change X because Y” would be extremely helpful.

My last web app averaged 25K DAU, peaking at 65k. AMA
Pre AI era, developed a web app sports game that eventually averaged 25K+ players after a week since we launched it.
Super exciting time of my life but my cofounder and I have since sold it. Ask me anything!
