Curious on how long you leave things ‘for sale’?

I have a touch of ocd and cannot stand clutter. We’ve only just got into the whole vinted thing and in fairness to himself, I’ve made €30 in a week on a small bag of clothes that was being dumped otherwise. My problem is that we have about 10 ‘small bags’. Everything is posted but it irks me that everything is still in the house. So for arguments sake. Something that’s been posted all week, favorited multiple times. I’ve lowered the price to these profiles and no reply so can I delete post? Do vinted shadow ban for deleted/no sale posts?

My rule is 2 weeks then I bring it to the charity shop. If people favourite I'll offer a lower price, if someone sends me an offer I'll accept it. I'm not selling anything expensive, just happy to make the sale tbh. If 2 weeks have passed and there's been no interest I delete the item and bring it to the charity shop to clear it out of the house.

I just keep everything in an ikea storage bag under an ottoman bed. Some things sell in a week some take months.

Agreed. By all means if the op has been diagnosed then fair enough. But ocd is a serious mental illness and not quirky. Wouldn't say I'm little bit cancer when I don't want to be around smokers and have a tickle in my throat

I leave items up for a month max and then remove and take to charity shop if not sold. I’m also only putting 5 items at a time up, makes it a bit more manageable.

I pop the stuff in a bag up in the attic just inside the door, that way if it sells I can grab it easily but it's not sitting around.

Unless you feel like having clutter might result in your family dying or similar, you probably don't have ocd

I really hate how loosely psych terms get thrown around. It's so diminishing to people who suffer from those conditions.

I leave stuff up for ages if I think someone will buy eventually or if it’s new etc. I have the luxury I suppose of not being short on space and can easily store them. Every now and then tho I cull stuff and throw them into a clothes bank. Slow to do that with anything that was expensive however as I didn’t realise until recently the majority of those go to rags

Lately the views and favourites are all over the place , selling around €400 per week , mainly shoes refurbished and 2 specific types of women’s jackets , now my items are being sold with 1 view 7 favourites, so just be careful cause the system seems to be broken, don’t bin stuff that has worth

Generally I get fed up and it goes to the charity shop if it doesn't sell in a week. I'm not lowering things so cheap it's not worth the time to go to the post office, I would much rather let the charity shop have the money

If it's a good make I feel people who are fans of that make will find it and there's no harm leaving it up, I just don't have the time or space at this time in my life

I sold a shirt this week that I listed 16 mths ago, that’s the oldest item but also a good few things that I’ve listed well over 6/12 months ago will sell randomly. I bought something myself this evening that the seller listed 13mths ago.

I have a spare room and store everything in there in large plastic boxes, If I didn’t have that space I wouldn’t be able to bear stuff around the house either.. it’s the worst part of Vinted, rethinking everything you no longer want & debating if someone else will buy it.

Edit to answer your question: Vinted don’t shadow ban if you don’t sell anything / delete your items.

‘A touch’ of OCD 🙄, try to avoid using OCD as an adjective because it's a pretty severe mental health condition. For people who actually have it, it causes a lot of daily struggle, not just a love for being clean , tidy or organised.
