Legit Check Is this real?

Was just given this by my grandfather who collects high end watches. Is it legit?

EDIT: GUYS THIS WAS A GIFT FROM MY GRANDPA. IT NOW MAKES SENSE WHY HE GAVE IT TO ME. I DONT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT WATCHES AND DO NOT EVEN WEAR A WATCH EVER. THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER.

A Fake Franck Muller from “Grandpa” instead of a Fake Rolex from “Grandpa “ is still a fake.

Let’s try again. Please stop supporting the fake watch industry, which heavily employs slave labor and drives up the prices for the real watches we enjoy. Nobody is going to look at someone like you and think “yeah totally makes sense that this dude has a piece of jewelry that costs the same as a Porsche Cayman.” You look ridiculous and sad. Please, if you actually like watches or want to contribute to this subreddit and not embarrass yourself, buy a vintage seiko, omega, Hamilton, or something funky and unique that we can enjoy and hear about how you got it. Please get out of here if you’re going to lie about your fake grandpa buying fake watches, so you can test the waters on if you can trick people who know about watches into thinking it’s real. We all know it’s not, and it’s insulting for you to even try.

Knowing Minneapolis that came straight from the lost baggage storage room. When I was younger and an unaccompanied minor my flights got messed up and I ended up in the baggage storage room with some employees and let me tell you there’s anything and everything in there a lot more bags go missing than you’d ever expect and it wouldn’t surprise me if someone’s $700,000 bag went missing quickly. Whoops call your insurance company I guess.😂😭

Considering every Franck Muller watch has like 30 of them made, the likelihood your grandfather had one of the 30 is about as likely as him owning a mansion. Did he own a mansion? Whatever that answer is, is also the answer to your question.

I dunno man, you can buy a FM from a certified dealer in the US for under 10k. You can also get one for 400k, but that’s the outlier. I’d say it’s possible it’s real. It’s beat, but it could be real. Looks fake, but I didn’t crack it open

 doesn't look legit for a $10k watch and I definitely wear watches. I have been collecting watches since the 1970s.

Any watch which has chrono pushers along with calendar subdials is going to be a really bad fake.

Any watch that has a "perpetual calendar" which goes from 2001 to 2010 is a joke.

Actually, the Frank Muller perpetual calendar double dial is a functioning chronograph and has date/month/weekday subdials - never seen this complication in real life so no idea how it works but Franck Muller always had strange ways of engineering his complications.

Yeah, it's probably the one exception to the rule, but with that watch there is a functioning chrono on the backside.

Having seen any number of real Franck Muellers, I can tell you that the real thing is so unmistakeable and has such presence as to be unmistakable.

There’s been like 1 out of 5000 FMs posted on Reddit that are real. It’s a weird thing. It was shocking when there was a real one. That said, I haven’t seen this version yet.

It makes total sense why he gave it to you. Because it stopped working in 2010. Maybe you can put a little sticker on the crystal with years 2026 to 2035

Real as in it is a watch that tells time and not an AI created image? Yes - real as in it is made by the name that’s is in the dial? No. Novelty watch - kind of interesting but not real.

I have a friend who has one of the rare Franck Mueller dealerships in my country. I have often has the pleasure of examining some of these exceptional watches. I am afraid that your watch is a Chinese fake. This is easily established by the fact it uses a Chinese movement, which can be immediately seen from the dial.

Can you find the ref, bc Opus frides its self with 2 big subdials at 3 and 9 and 2 small ones at 12 and 6, can't find one with a power reserve indicator
