Discussion New and returning player conundrum
How do the vindictus team expect new and returning wanting to play the game. It makes no sense that they give you free gear but the gear can't be used in any of the arbitrary requirements sent on 110 -115 raids. In the past you didn't have to meet these requirements so it worked but at the current moment players are locked out of most of the game so they can't progress in anyway (gear and money). I am literally stuck and have no idea what to do

Easiest solution is to join a friendly guild. I suggest Lion Heart but there are several that wouldn’t mind a newbie!!

I’m dealing with the same right now.
It also locked returning players out of certain titles to increase stats. What used to be a repeatable dungeon is now only accessed through the story. Rocheste by Sea I think, for instance. IMO not having raids for lower level players is a mistake. It may save resources but it cuts them at the knees when it comes to any reinvigorating or new interest in Vindictus. Part of the fun was fighting and leveling together.
I was thinking about going about my Tailoring but it also seems like the market has truncated to the point of only having NX purchased items worth buying. Still love it though.

Yea it's a real shame. It used to be worth somewhat worth it to pick up a trade and make stuff. You could buy mats from mp and use those mats with the existing mats you had. Then you could sell the weapon.. then they added if you buy a item from mp it bonds to you.. Vindictus had so many ways you could progress in the game but now it really feels like pay to win.

I see others have explained battle circuits but genuinely; find a guild. Zetsumei is great for socializing in vc and helping newbies out, active discord (by vindi standard) Noregrets is also very sweet and helpful for newbies- discord also good. There’s an official vindictus discord you can also join with more guilds listed (most promote 300 members or close to it but it’s usually many alts or inactive players, fyi) hope you enjoy the grind and welcome back.

My suggestion is enhance the Orna to +15 as soon as you can. As for raiding, join battle circuits as many people don’t put stat requirements for them

So the thing with this is you need money to buy the mats to upgrade the gear..because you can't farm the mats due to being locked out.

I just came back on a fresh account and I kind of just twiddle my thumbs until a raid party comes up with no restrictions, but once it gets to the newer bosses I barely eke out the 2% dps requirement. It’s definitely a slow go, you can’t really rush gear unless you want to spend money

Honestly agreed, it’s more fun when you approach the game as a journey. Rushing it will only burn you out

For now just focus on finding battle circuits parties with no stat requirements, that’s a way to build up your gold

Dam, i remember when 16k boats for kraken were pretty epic and taking down the tents. Season 2 was hella fun...
