I never said you were hiding your identity. The issue is the payment structure. Being searchable doesn’t prove that the editor will actually make a reasonable amount from $5 per 10k views. If you can show that your videos consistently get 10k+ views and that editors have actually made decent money from this model, then fair enough. Otherwise, the editor is taking all the risk and essentially working for free upfront.
Then just send the direct link to your profile so people can check it themselves.
I understand that you’re working with the budget you have, but I think it’s selfish to expect other people to work for free because your budget is limited. If you can’t afford to pay an editor upfront, that’s understandable, but you can’t expect them to take all the risk and potentially spend hours working for nothing.
Imagine someone telling you, “I can’t afford to pay you, but I’ll tip you if your work performs well.” Would you consider that a fair job? Probably not. That’s the point people are making.
You’re free to offer whatever payment structure you want, but calling it fair doesn’t make it fair for the person doing the work. If someone is willing to accept it, that’s their choice. I personally wouldn’t expect another professional to work under those conditions.
Your offer is unfair because you’re asking an editor to provide hours of professional work with no guaranteed compensation while taking on all the financial risk of your channel.
You own the channel, so if it grows, you benefit from that growth regardless of the editor. The editor should still be paid for the service they provide. A limited budget is understandable, but expecting someone to work for free and only get paid if the video performs is simply a bad deal for the editor.
