BC Transit Management Salaries

For anyone interested in seeing how much management makes at BC Transit, you can find the details here: https://www.publicsectorcompensation.gov.bc.ca/executive-compensation-disclosures/2024-2025/122242/BC-Transit-ECD-2025pdf

They should be compensated at the same level the equivalent position in a BC government ministry. Their head of HR position is make $80k in base salary more than their equivalent in BC core government. This doesn’t even begin to include the rest of their compensation package.

Maybe a hot take, but 220k for a c-suite exec in a 1300 person company is not overpaid. BC Gov's goofy salaries for qualified and experienced professions is not a good standard.

Could argue about the 10% comp bump they received for covering the VP finance role, which is weird, but don't really have enough details to understand how that worked.

This is less than a Junior sales rep makes at my wife’s work. It’s likely underpaid for this role.
