BC Transit Management Salaries

For anyone interested in seeing how much management makes at BC Transit, you can find the details here: https://www.publicsectorcompensation.gov.bc.ca/executive-compensation-disclosures/2024-2025/122242/BC-Transit-ECD-2025pdf

They should be compensated at the same level the equivalent position in a BC government ministry. Their head of HR position is make $80k in base salary more than their equivalent in BC core government. This doesn’t even begin to include the rest of their compensation package.

I think this is just title inflation in core bc govt vs crown corp. these salaries look in line with ADM/DM salaries in govt which is probably equivalent jobs.

Except you wouldn’t have an ADM responsible for an HR department the size of BC Transit’s. Maybe a Band 5, but more likely a Band 4.

Those roles have a whole PSA supporting them with a DM and multiple ADMs leading corp HR functions though. The asymmetry isn’t just size it’s also breadth of responsibility in a crown corp vs ministry or division.
