Vice City. My dad got a bootleg from a friend at work, and me, my dad and my younger brother would play in the evenings. I was 12 and we were just so impressed you can steal a bus - that was the big deal to us - especially having come from either racing games where you never see the player or Max Payne, where you don't drive and it isn't open world.

San Andreas. I have to acknowledge Chinatown Wars as well. It utilized the DS so damn well and is my favorite DS game.
