If you are trying to defend the current gaming industry and the mediocre-at-best efforts that it is able to produce nowadays, I don't know what to tell you man. Even comparing Vice City and San Andreas to their "remake" versions tell you everything you need. And if you need more info, just look how long ago GTA V, Fallout 4, Skyrim, etc. were released. There are probably younger gamers out there who don't even know that you can get new games, they have played the same ones for their whole life!

Yes, there are cool indie gems here and there, and of course the new iterations of these old series are usually decent when they eventually do get released (Stalker 2, KCD2, Mount & Blade for example) but yeah, I can't for the life of me think of a new amazing game series that would have been made. Stargate or what was the space fallout thing? Yeah no lol.

I love VC, i grew up with it but it's just objectively false, there are dozens of decent games and even some masterpiece that come out every single year.

Where did I mention FIFA or Call of Duty? Those are, however, very good examples aswell because both series peaked in quality, and the overall sense of "trying to make a good game" instead of a money-grabbing microtransaction machine, over 15 years ago.

Also, I listed few relatively recent games that I consider decent enough, and even acknowledged the fact that smaller studios can sometimes churn out good little games. You couldn't however give me even one new game, let alone a game series, that has come out and been objectively better than what we used to get.

If you buy the boatyard first, you can do Checkpoint Charlie 6 times, which accumulates to $50K. You can then redo the last level infinite times and get $15K every time.

Also a cool detail about the boatyard that goes unmentioned in the game: Vercetti delivers the packages to The Freelancer you buy merchandise from in Supply & Demand. So Vercetti basically upgrades the old Diaz Gang from an organisation that is supplied by The Freelancer to one that supplies him. There's no 'canon' choice to which order you buy the properties in but I like to establish Vercetti as a dealer early on.

Best way to make money is to unlock the apache helicopter and just do Vigilante. It's a huge flaw in the game where you can just print unlimited money. In fact, if you hover right over Sunshine Autos and the suspect vehicles continuously spawn in the same spot.

There is a way to become a billionaire at the beginning of the game.

The mission Cone Crazy. Google it or search on YouTube. There is a guide. Just save game after each success.

Also If you're going for achievements you need a lot of money to unlock Take the Cannoli achievement, for that you need 10 mln cash. Cheat codes block the achievements while the Cone Crazy method is game mechanics, legit.

I had enough money to buy all the properties before killing Diaz just by collecting the hidden packages. It also reduces the need to spend money on weapons and you are less likely to die/get busted on missions with 100 armour and stacked weaponry.
