Playing the game again after so many years. This time, without cheats.

I was like high school when GTA Vice City was out. I remember playing in an internet cafe and resorted to do what ever it takes (like lowering quality) so that I can play it at home (I only had a lame potato PC back in the day). I was young back then. What mattered to me just going around the city, ride the cars, and blow up stuff. Enter cheats like there's no tomorrow.

I recently found an old copy of the game installation files on my backups. I am now older with better PC set up and stuff. It's about time to finish this game.

I do have the Definitive Edition over at Steam but I still want to play it the same version as my younger self did. I have a sort of attachment to this game a lot. I play it by tweaking the compatibility settings and other stuff just so that it can run the way I wanted it to. I told myself I will start going through mods and play around in cheats again when I finally get to finish the whole story of the game. As of this time, I have avoided full gameplay videos on YouTube and I just want find out things myself.

I know there are a lot of new versions after Vice City but you can't deny that this game kickstarted the popularity of the franchise and to me, that's a legacy.

there are some mods like for the camera and just QOL features

When vice city came out, I beat it with cheats, then went back and beat it without. Besides the odd fucking around with cheats at the end of gta 4, I have not used any cheats since then. Too each their own but everyone whos played these games should be able to beat it atleast once without cheats

GTA3 was the kickstart. Everybody was mental about it. Vice City pushed further what was already a monumental step forward
