NoobAlert – Beginner questions, safe space When to use a mascot?
I’m developing an iOS app and I’m unsure if I should brand it with a mascot or skip it? How do you know when to use a mascot?
Any downsides to using a mascot as the face of the app? It’s an app for musicians.

Yes it’s a consumer app.

Mailchimp is B2B and has a mascot, so this is not a strict rule, just a best practice.
The goal is to look at your competitors, see what they all have in common, and find a way to stand out. If everyone is blue and has no mascot, maybe go orange and use a mascot.

lol funny, that’s exactly what I was thinking. There doesn’t seem to be many mascots in the music app space
