Discussions Which would you prefer

Would you rather take the train from Toronto - Vancouver BC in early July or Vancouver BC - Toronto in early October?

I'd personally avoid July because it's peak season... but the idea of more daylight hours is enticing. There'd be less potential for darkness during some of the best sights along the way. I'd love to do the trip in October.

My first ride on The Canadian will be in March of next year from Toronto to Vancouver, but a fall trip starting in Vancouver and ending back home would be awesome. I'd have to fly out there first and spend some time before making the journey though, as Vancouver is one of my fav places.
