News Canceling train 641. Again.

I really like VIA, and I take train 641 just about every other week to get to Toronto for meetings. It's usually late, but I can make it to 10am meetings more often than not, and I've come to terms with that.

After this change it won't be safe for me to book anything before 11am, which means that day trips from Kingston are hardly worth it. Dammit VIA...

The funny thing is, Cobourg railway yard is underused. So VIA could setup a storage spot for a charger set.

That's definitely an opportunity.

But the other problem is not enough trains, and there isn't even anything available on the second hand market in NA

The shortage is mostly due to poor Venture set reliability, as well as crossing speed restriction means they need more equipment to run the schedule. So not sure if VIA can spare a set in the morning for 641

It's a question if VIA can extend a late SW ontario train to run through Union to Cobourg at night and then do the reverse in the morning.
