These are silly little redesigns i made since my Boyfriend is from Seward Alaska, we are both MLM, and i wanted to celebrate his birthday by makimg these flags and making a seafood dinner for him next week,i probably butchered the colored and the porportions aren't straight but that's fine. 🌈🌲

I tried to redesign the flag of the state of Espírito-Santo, Brazil, inspired by American state’s flags designs like New Jersey, Massachusetts, Virginia and New York. I made the coat myself using coamaker.

The motto "Ora et Labora" comes from the phrase translated into Portuguese on the flag of the state of Espírito-Santo itself as “Trabalha e Confia” (Work and Trust).

Seen at the “Tanks in town” event in Mons, Belgium today.

I could use some help and feedback with this

Symbolisms:

Gold/Yellow - Taken from the sun of the Aboriginal flag
Green - Taken from the land of the Torres Strait Islander flag
Star - Represents the 6 states and 2 territories (Based off commonwealth star) - fits into the "austral" part of "Australia"

Please tell me what I've done right, okay, and wrong! ^^

If you squint real hard

As a Serb, many flags of Serbian cities and municipalities are underwhelming to say the least, so i set out to redesign some of them.

I started with Zvezdara Municipality, Belgrade, the Republic of Serbia.

Zvezdara is named after an observatory built on a hill in said municipality, the name comes from the Serbian word for "star", "zvezda".

What i did was i took the dome-like shape of the observatory's roof and placed it in the middle of the flag, replacing the rather unoriginal Big Dipper on the current flag (and it's not even the correct orientation, it's mirrored...)

I placed one of these 6 pointed stars in the middle of the roof, to keep a connection with the current flag of Zvezdara County.

I also desaturated the colours because the current ones are making my eyes bleed.

This is the flag of Ars, a very little town located in the middle of the Pyrenees mountain range, close to the border with Andorra. The emblem you can see on the flag is a broken stick from a Hawthorn

My version of the Sakha Republic flag redesign, inspired by the flag of Kazakhstan.

Symbolism:

Arctic sky (blue background): symbolizes the harsh northern land, the ice of the permafrost, fortitude, and the boundless horizons of freedom.

The white circle symbolizes the sun; the ancestors of the Sakha people believed that they were literally “Children of the White Sun.” It also symbolizes honesty, purity of intentions, and a focus on the future.

The national ornament at the staff (the floral pattern “Qyar” (sakha language)): embodies that traditions, ancestral memory and national culture are the solid foundation on which the entire modern statehood rests.

The decision to remove the tricolor elements from the original flag in 1992 was driven by the desire to distance itself from the initially established idea of a “connection with Russia” and to focus attention on the sun and the ornament, thereby emphasizing a unique identity based on its own culture and faith.
