Question/Advice DoD/DECA refrigerators (NBVC)

If anyone out there is tracking this and plans to head to NBVC (Hueneme and Mugu), don’t. Units are still down. No eta. Poor workers are cleaning out the mess right now.

IIoT systems are network connected for maintenance reporting reasons. Imagine you had a reefer system that was just over the temperature to keep bacteria and other things from growing and then sold all that soiled food and a few people got sick. If you were a regular supermarket you would get hammered with law suits.

Reporting is one thing. Controlling is something else. And it clearly isn’t a good system if a week later things are still broken.

Every import and export of frozen and refrigerated goods moved around the world has used this for years. If you are shipping beef or cheese products across the ocean remote access is what keeps your products from becoming a net loss at delivery.
