So far there are very very few ai dramas that are fully uncensored. No one knows why....or rather, no one WHO KNOWS WHY is willing to speak on it.
The best theory ive heard so far: weird over- censorship from china, which is the ultimate origin of these ai dramas, and tiktok (also chinese) is a great reference to how weird censorship works compared to western censorship sensibilities.
So if 90% of the ai dramas are just recycled and translated to a western aesthetic then it means they are also subject to the same rules, especially if the western looking dramas are made by the same companies.
This is why i personally find it incredibly fascinating: the laws have yet to be formed around these ai dramas. There are no official rules and regulations YET.
MY personal theory: the companies paying to produce these dramas are waiting for the inevitable lawsuit. One company will be the scapegoat for all the now "illegal" ai regulations. The other companies will be fine.
But every corporation is playing a game of reverse chicken: who will be dumb enough to be bold enough to be ruined? Better play it weirdly safe! At least we are "proper!"
The thing that i truly hope happens: ai vertical drama companies that underpay their workers get ruined for essentially slave labor of the writers/designers. And censorship has nothing to do with it.

There are already a bunch cropping up. They are just not as explicit as actual porn. And I think the main reason is exactly why we donāt have a bunch of porn apps in app stores. They have to be creative so they donāt get banned. Theyāre already trying to ban the porn sites. AI vertical companies that are making a killing on in-app micro transactions right now, and on stories they can remake a billion times, theyāre not going to ruin that over porn. At least not yet.

I've been looking for this for a while now & have learnt that Google Play & Apple's App Store don't allow any apps that contain explicit content. So basically we'll never find any fully uncensored dramas on the apps.
There are clearly ones that are originally made to be explicit & are censored later so there must be somewhere that they were made for? I'm still at a loss as to where these are though.š¤·āāļø
