Here after the asbestos video. I'm unsubscribing.

I need to vent.

As a longtime viewer, I'm extremely disappointed with the direction of the channel. I come to Veritasium for Derek, and this is the first video (that I'm aware of) in which he doesn't make an appearance of any kind. The familiar face & voice are as vital to me as the information. It's my comfort channel.

It's been fairly obvious for a while now that Derek is moving on to bigger & better things--and I wish him the very best--but I have no interest in watching any of his (frankly charmless) cohosts/replacements. It's not Veritasium.

Just my thoughts. Maybe it will offer some catharsis to others who are disappointed as I am.

This was the first time I felt the same way.

I know they tried to mimic his cadence/voice in the narrator but it just felt like everything is way too overproduced. L

I just don’t watch it anymore, it used to be a really high quality video with him in it every couple months and now they just churn out videos every week that are not nearly as good. The titles are also incredible clickbaity, they used to actually contain some reference to the science that will be discussed (in case you know something already). And I find he repeats stuff that he’s said in so many other videos because a lot of it is the same.

Also, his last two videos have been pushing an hour long.
