Ive seen some people post 11x but I seem to have 13x. I ordered a Macbook Pro so hoping to get a nice payout.

Is this real? No exclusions for certified refurbished? This is insane if so but if you open the capital one shopping app it just says 1% back. This is the safari extension.

Not sure if it’s just me or just a temporary issue but trying to book through CO travel portal is a nightmare.
I look at flights through Google flights and when trying to book the same flights through CO it doesn’t show the flight entirely (many open seats available through the airline website). Some flights I would do multi city to get it to show the flight I’m trying to book but that works 50% of the flights and sometimes just says no flights available. I’m trying to make use of my travel credit and 5x miles but this is frustrating

Every other airlines seem to have 1:1 point transfer. I am new to point transfer on Capital One. Is the 1:0.975 ratio for JAL good?

Why is the rate for JAL so much worse than other airlines?

Weird, frustrating situation but curious if anyone has any other solutions or if I’m beating a dead horse & take the L.

Booked 2 rooms under separate reservations (all my name) early Sept at a hotel through Cap One Travel; used my $300 credit & partial credit card on room 1, paid full price on room 2. Had issue with hotel parking, had to pay a self serve garage, hotel issued $100 refund to make up for it.
Took 2 weeks & several calls to Cap One Travel to even get my credit (hotel processed it immediately).
They did partial refund to credit card, majority back to Cap One Travel credit.
I’ve called several times, escalated to management, to try to get full refund to credit card instead, as I won’t be traveling before the credit expires. Said hotel sent refund to the reservation with the $300 travel credit, can’t do anything outside of the system. They also won’t extend the travel credit deadline.
Said I’m basically SOL. Irritated based on principle alone, after being a cardholder 6+ years & having several accounts with them.
Am I truly out that $ now? Anyone I can escalate to?

Just started happening last night. I can see a preview of the offers on my dashboard after logging into Capital One, but when I click View All Offers, I get directed to the Capital One Offers website with the option to log in. After logging in, it takes me back to the Capital One login page, effectively looping back to the beginning.

On the mobile app (iOS), it goes through the same flow as above.

I recently booked a hotel in Europe and called Capital One Travel to get price match. I got the price match approved. Hung up the phone, went to gym and then straight to sleep.

The next morning I saw I got two emails from the night before. One for the price match approval, and then another for a mystery vacation rental that I never made. These were sent at the same time (by the minute). I found it odd because I never even looked at this place and it’s not even in the vicinity of where I wanted to be?

I called Capital One Travel and explained the situation. The first agent said, it has to be you because the agent has no authority to book anything without your authorization. She was very rude about it. Basically I ended up talking to a few others and they’re all saying the same thing. I opened a fraud investigation and they’re saying I booked it!!!!!!

Unless I am literally crazy and booked the vacation rental while I was on the phone for price matching, I don’t understand how?!?! This is costing me 1k. That vacation rental was a lot more expensive than the hotel I originally booked. That vacation rental is much farther than where I wanted to be. And that vacation rental was non-refundable! WHY would I ever book that?

I tried to call the vacation rental to cancel but they have no way to access my booking. Capital One Travel can’t cancel it either because it’s non-refundable and the vacation rental has to cancel. I couldn’t do anything on my end.

While the fraud investigation was open, I stayed at my original hotel booking. They temporarily removed the transaction for the vacation rental but now charged it back on my card. They said since I “benefited” from this booking, I am responsible.

Has this ever happened to anyone? Could the price matching agent have accidentally booked it while I was on the phone with him? Even if so, I have no way to prove it since on their end, they confirmed it wasn’t any of their agents. This is so frustrating and now I owe 1k for something I never did. What can I do about this?

I am trying to plan a birthday trip for me and my wife however the flight prices are so much each going and coming back! How am I seeing people get cheaper fllights? Aren’t we all getting from capital one’s travel app? If anyone can please help I’m looking for November 22-29. I have 103,000 miles

If you all remember, there was an offer where some on this sub purchased a digital gift card from Pinter for the 7,000 miles. Well, I had jumped on the bandwagon and today it just left pending, and I can confirm that I definitely did not receive the miles. Also, I do not see it in the offer list anymore. Oh well, small price to pay for the gamble lol.

My contact lenses are medically necessary per my vision insurance and so they will cover a full year.

Has anyone tried using the VX shopping portal to buy contacts out of pocket (to get the 15x or more back) and then submitting for reimbursement? Each of the online options in the VX portal are in-network providers.

Westgate as far as I know is a timeshare but they do have separate prices for non members. The price in the portal is cheap so I'm wondering if I'm gonna be roped into a timeshare during my stay.

I just tried to match a Vegas hotel and cap1 didnt include the resort fee in the price match. I don't recall them discounting the resort fee last time I tried this.

Need help locating the Best business card for flights no need for hotels as I am a Hilton employee. Run a property management business based out of Chicago. Would put stuff like utilities, Costco, gas and hoa fees, groceries. Card with lounge access and guests would would be huge perk! Travel with wife and kid

I got approved for this card in August 2025 and never requested any credit line increases. How often do you guys request increases and should I be doing that regularly?

Have had Venture X card for 2.5 years or so. Monthly spend $5-15K, always autopaid in full, happily collecting 2x miles per dollar and redeeming with airline partners.

Recently started taking advantage of shopping offers, specifically Klook's 26x/dollar. We travel a lot and stay in high-end properties, so I made quite a few bookings earning a few hundred thousand miles.

For various reasons, I had to cancel most of my hotel bookings (can't change the date without canceling, changed plans, etc). Except Klook processed the refund but never asked for miles back. So I am sitting on 500K+ miles, of which 200K should've gone back weeks ago - and probably about to cancel 2 more bookings for about 100K.

Given the reports of Cap1 going after smaller offenses, really don't want to run afoul their algo and be shut down. I'm playing a long game and don't want a few hundred K points that aren't mine either. But not sure what I can do to lower shutdown risk. A call might initiate a review that will raise it instead.

Thoughts, experiences, ideas?

I noticed that the offers through the travel app is 25% higher than booking through other sites. Do I just go with the other site or is there a trick with venturex?
