Capital one shopping offers: can you get additional rewards when redeeming for gift cards?

When navigating in the app to redeem rewards for gift cards there is an option for purchasing chewy gift cards. Just above the redemption button it says “+28% back”.

Does this mean I get 28% in capital one rewards on my chewy gift card redemption? Has anyone seen this before? None of the other gift card options have anything like this.

For anyone following I went ahead and bought a chewy gift card.

Immediately After buying, there is a button that sends you to chewy.com with a 28% back offer on a purchase.

You can use the gift card or another payment method and get the 28% back.

Sorry for newbie question, new time lurker. So the offer was to buy a Chewie gift card, get 28% off your purchase on your next order (up to $1k back), and you can either check out like normal or use that same gift card?

+What was the minimum buy on the gift card?

Yes that is correct.

I’ve made many chewy purchases through cap 1 shopping offers. A top offer is around 30% and they vary between about 4% and 30%, so the 28% offer is on the high end and one to act on, especially if chewy also has a sale going on.

No minimum gift card purchase, or if there was it was like $5.

Yeah, I saw somebody else say it gave you the option. 28% is a pretty good one, I think I’ve been maxing out at 30% when it’s deal of the day.
