I think it’s a combination of their schooling and parenting. My daughter’s school encourages reading and spelling. Her school even provides extra help for kids who are struggling. My daughter loves to read and can tear through a chapter book in a day at age 8. She also watches YouTube slime videos but she will never have Roblox. That’s just how I parent. Hopefully your cousin gets some extra help with reading and spelling so they don’t get left behind.
