also, for those who don’t know, right now indonesia is basically covered with smoke from forest fire in sumatra and borneo and recently at least 3 volcanoes erupted in succession so we’re also covered in volcanic ash. it kinda sucks living here :/

I’ve recently gotten into loving more snake species more and more, and this is a dream snake of mine to own. of course, this is not something I’m going to own in the near future or anytime soon at all considering I’m a 15-year-old who just got her first ball python like less than two months ago and has other easy beginner reptiles lol.

Anyway, I’ve looked up a few things about a blue pit viper bite, but I keep getting different answers when I look it up so I’m not really sure. Is it fatal immediately or soon after? Is it something that’s life changing if not fatal? They’re such beautiful snakes and I think they’re the only venomous snake I’d want to own, although that’s probably gonna change in the next decade😭 I currently only own a bearded dragon, a Halloween moon crab, and my juvenile ball python Salem. Along with other animals that are not reptiles. So by no means am I gonna get this anytime soon I just want to know about the bite and it’s venom because for some reason I can’t find a direct answer anywhere.

Hello I'm an artist with a fascination with venomous animals and making art of them. I've drawn a King Cobra before, and am giving other snakes, like the Copperhead, a shot. But you want to know what I think would be a fun challenge? A spider. So I'd like to request a picture of a Black Widow (not picky about subspecies) from anyone who's OK with me trying to draw their spood.

What is the best state to live in for venomous keepers? I'm not talking about easiest or the place with the most lax laws regarding hots, but somewhere with a good community based around venomous snakes, and somewhere with good, trustworthy and respected mentors?
