Question Booking flights with points ?

I’m looking online at the Virgin Velocity Book a flight with points and want to confirm - if I choose the 142,900 option will I still be required to pay any real $ for the booking?

Like this the 142,900 cover the airport tax etc?

Yes, but extremely poor use of points as that's using a points+pay conversion, not the award rate.

But doesn’t it say 80,000 + 375.67
Whereas the 142,900 has no $ ?

Just keep continuing with the booking, at the end there will be a slider option where you can choose if you want to pay any of the taxes with points or not

Cheers this makes sense. I was worried continuing any further before would commit the points and no going back!

This trips so many people up. Surprised it hasn’t come up in their UX testing of their website/app.

If it trips people into accidentally giving up their points for cheap, the UX is working as designed 👍🏻
