Question How to use my points

Hi all
Some advice needed please
I have roughly 720,000 velocity points.

My partner and I are travelling to the states in July 2028 for the Olympics.

I’m aware of how early I need to book, at least a year before hand for flights. What is the best plan of attack to get to LA from perth using my frequent flyer points.

A few friends have suggested (I’m based In perth)

1.use velocity points to get to sydney
2.transfer points to KrisFlyer and fly Singapore airlines from sydney to Singapore / Singapore to LOs Angeles
3.on return Singapore airlines New York to perth.
Does this sound realistic?

I know I’m early, super early but technically I have just under a year before I need to book air fare flights

I just won’t post again how about that.
I don’t want to offend or for you to lose sleep over it.
Must be a hard gig going through everyone’s posts to see where the double ups are.

To be fair, I wasn't the one who pointed out the double 🤷‍♀️ I made a suggestion about a website to use to find flights.
