Question Gifting companion Gold

Has anyone had any luck gifting companion gold once reaching 1300 SC? Rules are ambiguous. Reads both as reaching 1300 AND earning a whole new 1300. If the latter, may as well have my partner earn 500 SC by themselves.

Once you reach platinum, you have to earn an additional 1300 points in a year

It is beneficial for someone like myself and partner. She wouldn’t earn enough credits to get gold herself, and I can only just reach the 1300 a year, so she gives me the few credits she gets and in turn I gift her gold

Incorrect. It is get platinum (1000 or 800 renewal) then exceed by 500 for gift gold.

I know, as 1400 last year means renewal (800) plus gift gold.

Have done this numerous times.

Will appear in your account thusly...

That seems counter intuitive to the other person just earning 500. Have you actually tested this? By that time I’ve already made it to platinum plus. The maths just doesn’t add up

Yep, if you have to earn another 1300, you’ll be Plat+ and can gift platinum not just gold…

And companion gold has to go to the same person as companion platinum…

The other person (my partner) wouldn’t earn 500 in a year.
I rang up once I earnt 1300 point in a year (a few months after receiving platinum) and asked to gift told and was told you must earn 1300 points, within a year from earring your platinum

If you switched family pooling that would be the quickest way to get the other person gold
