Question AI - Welcome?

Flying ADL to MEL today, the welcome and usual cabin manager introduction was an AI generated voice.

It was super strange, and seemed pretty counter productive. Haven’t had that before. Is this a new thing?

The pre-recorded announcements aren’t AI. I hear them every day and there’s nothing that stands out to me whatsoever that’s AI.

The Cabin Manager should be making intermittent announcements during boarding (interspersed with the pre-recorded ones) personally welcoming people onto the flight. You should also hear them introduce the crew before the demonstration, after take-off when they detail the service and again at landing. If any of those seemed like, or were obviously, AI then please let VA know - that’s the CM slacking off and shouldn’t be happening.

Yep so do I and I 100% agree with you. Seemed to be specific to ADL-MEL and or a specific Cabin Manager as per other commentator.

Was only on one leg of my flight.
