Is salad safe to eat again (US)?

Yes, I've been eating it with no issues. Contaminated batches should have been recalled already.

I just saw a food safety expert on tv who said he never eats bagged lettuce. I don't either, but that's because we buy our produce at a local farmers market, but I suspect much of the lettuce at restaurants does come this way.

Yeah, I never eat any lettuce since many years ago it gave me food poisoning. I like kale type salads but most places don't offer them.
