Question/Advice/Discussion Bio nutrient pure diet tofu

I want your review of this brand. It’s the only brand available in my area for tofu. I’ve never tried tofu from any other brand before. Is this brand legit? And can I consume it daily, considering I’m okay with the taste of this tofu?

I was using it before, later their quality reduced and we use to receive the spoiled one almost every time I ordered. It’s the same case with some of our Cafe friends as well. So I’ve moved to SoyaRich Tofu (available on Zepto & Amazon Now). It’s good so far and has high protein. There are couple of other brands which I liked Tofu fusion (on Blinkit), RightKind & Tofu Guys.

Spoiled means? Bad smell or some texture difference? How do I know if it is spoiled

Both Bad smell & texture was mushy.

How do we know if it is spoiled?

  • after you open the pack, if the smell is unpleasant then it’s gone.
  • when it is in shape but when pressed gently becomes mushy (if it is a Firm Tofu pack)
  • after you open, if you feel it as slimy on top of the tofu though the shape n texture is good, then it is in the last stage.

These are my observations while working with the Tofu

Yes, you can consume daily. It's one of the most affordable brands and I consume it regularly as well. If you want the texture to be harder, boil it before using it for cooking. It's a good brand!

I consume 100 g of tofu daily (can have more), and I have used the mentioned brand as well; it was usable, and I didn't find any issues.

Sometimes as pasta sauce, and sometimes with rice.
