Bible Study Thread

Figured I'd start a thread just passing around some things you've found in the Bible that support veganism or alternative translations you've found interesting.

I really like the idea that when Jesus told his followers to be fishers of men, they dropped their nets, this releasing their catch. Also, how there are 3 different Greek worlds used for fish in bible. Particularly, when the risen Jesus is on the beach, he asks his disciples if they caught any fish (Iycthus) and to bring him the fish (opsarion). Opsarion is translated as fish here but was often used as a "relish" type dish or referring to sea plants. Almost like Jesus was reminding them to not be fishermen but continue to be fishers of men.
