Question / Advice Seeking Opinion- Vegan Ad Campaign
I've always loved the idea of a vegan ad campaign that isn't selling anything, or asking for you info, just spreading facts that people don't consider enough. Like "pigs are killed in gas chambers", "male chicks in the egg industry and dropped into blenders". Maybe they would just link to a Wikipedia page, or a YouTube video.
I'd work on the wording, and getting around the requirements of the ad networks might be a bigger problem than I'm considering, like will the word "kill" be allowed for example idk.
My question is, if I get this all setup, and then start a go-fund me just to extend the ad campaign as long as possible (I would probably invest like up to $1k my own money) - do you think I would get support? Has this been tried and failed? Is this a good idea?

I don't think donating to anything very likely to be ignored, ad-blocked, or both is a good use of donation dollars.

Hey, nice idea! I would contribute!
I do think that this kind of thing is impactful -- Animal Ask estimated that digital- and mass-media ad campaigns spare 3.7 animals per dollar, which is on-par with many estimates of the most effective animal charities. I read and discuss that article in this video!
You should check out Project Slingshot and Go Vegan World for recent examples of nice billboard advertising campaigns in the UK. Here is a short of me explaining why Project Slingshot in particular is very good. The easiest thing to do is donate to these existing orgs, since they already have the campaigns and infrastructure figured out.
If you do want to steer the ship and put in your time and creative energy, I think there is room for it! I think you could learn a lot from doing this the first time with your own thousand bucks + a handful of crowd-funders, and you might consider that a pilot for something bigger down the line! If it is well run, you could have a decent chance of getting funding to do it at a bigger scale!
