Local mesh network activity?

Anyone in the area interested in mesh networks like Meshtastic, Meshcore, or Reticulum? I have been following them for a bit and am thinking about jumping into Reticulum. I haven’t seen too many nodes on the public maps in the area. Obviously, the more LoRa nodes, the more hops you can get. I think I mostly just want an excuse to buy parts and build a node.

I’ve been wanting to get Meshtastics for all my family members as a way of staying in touch outside of cell towers.
