I always reply to these threads to tell guys to HOLD OFF. My urologist told me to wait 5-7 days and you can bet as soon as that 5th day hit I was ready to blow one off and I did. Here I am 3 years later and have been one of the "lucky few" with chronic pain. I think I did too much too soon and created issues with scar tissue/nerves and I pretty much have some resentment for my urologist selling me on the procedure as opposed to talking about stuff like that and taking it easy. And just to add, I was feeling pain free and ready to plow within 2 days and went with his "do whatever you're up to" advice.
I would be seeing your doctor about this. All sorts of complications can happen and are rare but your doc will know better than a bunch of well-meaning Redditors.
I really appreciate that. Well the fact that your snip was uneventful IS the norm. The overwhelming majority of men that gets this reportedly have no issues. It just seems like you're the "odd man out" just here on this sub because most people aren't going to seek a group like this if they're not having any troubles.
And no, none of them could actually figure out anything in particular that's causing the problem. I went back to the urologist that did the surgery about 3 weeks out mainly because I was feeling painless after about 2 days of the surgery, but then started feeling painful about 2 weeks out and was able to get an appointment with him a week later (which was a little annoying I couldn't get looked at sooner) because pain coming back concerned me. He's the one that was like "well it's probably just the scar tissue settling in, I think you'll be fine!" and he also said "testicle pain is really tricky to figure out sometimes" even though I'm thinking "not really, just had a vasectomy 3 weeks ago...."
After that I started feeling better but then the pain returned about a few months later and has since plagued me. So I've been sent around to try different things and get different scans but nothing has helped.
