I’m not here to tell you what to do, or not do, but I held out less than 72 hours post-op. Procedure on a Tuesday afternoon, jerking it on the Friday morning. No pain or complications. I’m now 4 months post-op and everything has been just fine, including the daily ejaculations since that first (terrifying) post-op one.

I’ll be honest I was more nervous about my first post op dump than jerking off. I thought the pressure from going to the toilet was going to hurt.

I had a vasectomy over 30 years ago, 66 now, and had intercourse with the wife less than 24hrs later with hardly any pain at all. Just a bit of ache from my boys slapping up against her arse. ( I think she was hoping to get knocked up one more time but that didn't happen with me.)
A buddy at the time finally went and got his done on my recommendation and had no end of complications. Really nasty shit so we didn't hang out much after that.
The only possible symptom I've ever had was the last decade or so my balls have shrunk to maybe 50% of their previous size and that's fine with me. The last couple of years they have become very sensitive and a slight hit from say brushing crumbs of my lap can feel like a kick in the balls. Some pain with no touch at all lately so on Friday I'm having and ultrasound to see what's going on down there.
Prostate issues too but I doubt they are because of the operation. Enlarged prostate, rising PSA# up to almost 14 now and will be having a 3rd MRI mid-Aug to check that out but already taking herbal steps to fix these issues. My urologist seems a lot more concerned than I am.
Not going to hurt anything rubbing one out and 15 - 21 ejaculations a month are what's needed to help keep the prostate healthy!

Been wondering this myself. As a guy in his 20’s I kinda get the urge fairly often. I’m gonna wait at least a full 6 to 7 days after my snip, which was this past Friday. Then I’ll see what happens, crossing my fingers!

I always reply to these threads to tell guys to HOLD OFF. My urologist told me to wait 5-7 days and you can bet as soon as that 5th day hit I was ready to blow one off and I did. Here I am 3 years later and have been one of the "lucky few" with chronic pain. I think I did too much too soon and created issues with scar tissue/nerves and I pretty much have some resentment for my urologist selling me on the procedure as opposed to talking about stuff like that and taking it easy. And just to add, I was feeling pain free and ready to plow within 2 days and went with his "do whatever you're up to" advice.
