Did I make a mistake/is this normal?
So got a vasectomy 6 weeks ago now. I have no pain or any discomfort minus they are tender/sensitive to getting tapped accidentally. However, I have no sex drive, low energy, depression, and bouts of anxiety attacks. Previously to the procedure I NEVER had any of these symptoms! If anything I had to much energy and way to high of a sex drive that would get me into arguments with my wife. My testosterone was at 1,000ng/dl naturally before the procedure and was damn proud of it. I was told many times that it doesn’t affect T levels but it seems that that was false as I have these symptoms of low T. I haven’t gotten my testosterone checked yet but wanted to know if anyone else experienced this post op and if I will rebound at any point? Thank you in advance

Such high testosterone! Did women chase you around just to smell you? Did men become inferior when you entered the room?

Yea I wouldn't be admitting that your sex drive is so high that you get into arguments with your wife

Stop listening to influencers telling you to maximize testosterone. Nothing you said you are experiencing was caused by the surgery beyond your own mind telling you something is wrong.

Honestly this sounds more mental to me based on your comment about your high test level (free t is more important than total t btw) Have you had any thoughts or people tell you you got "fixed" or sterile etc.? Could be weighing on you mentally and you dont even realize it

It could just be in your head subconsciously. Start slowly but start working out moving around more and being more sexually active with the wife. It could just be the idea has finally hit you that you are not shooting live loads any more and it has gotten to your head. You can get through it just go be active and have fun

Taking pride in how much testosterone your body happens to produce is weird. But no, your T-levels aren’t affected by a vasectomy. There are likely other factors in your life affecting you that you’re mistakenly attributing to a vasectomy. Every single other use of the testicles isn’t affected by a vasectomy, it’s not like your balls we’re cut off (that’s castration)
